My favorite commercial is either between the Bow Chika WahWah commercial of Axe in the supermarket, or the rock star rap of Free Credit Report.com. Between the two, the BowChicaWAHWAH is funny but the FreeCredit Report rap has a cool tune to it and speaks the truth.
In the BowChicaWAHWAH commercial of Axe it is funny because the way it happens is when the lady notices an enticing smell from a man that works at the supermarket, she starts singing the BOWCHICA WAHWAH song. What really made me laugh was the way the lady danced. I’m thinking it is a Benefit Causes Story kind of Ad.
As for the rock Star Rap of Free Credit Report .com, I like the tune. The setting is that there are three men who seem like men in tuxedos’ at their own party but then in the middle of the rap when he says somebody opened his credit card with his I.D. , it turns out he’s a butler at the party of another person, a famous person. He then says, he is going to sign up for Free Credit Report .com. So it’s kind of sad that he’s learns to late. The moral of the story is to “sigm up for FREE CREDIT REPORT” before something bad happens to you.
Well, my group was not able to complete everything for our website on Magellan. I honestly think we did really well on the Multimedia section. We got a lot of pictures and 4 interviews, and we also got a video of the legacy of Magellan, here on Guam, which occurs once every year in Umatac Bay. It is called the Discovery Day, “The Landing of Magellan”. I think the most important thing that we could have worked on was our planning. With as much things and activities that were happening all through that time, it would have been better if we planned with more organization. I think that, that is the most important thing we learned in this group project.
If I were to re-choose who to make a website on, it would probably be one of the chiefs. I would want to research on one of the chiefs because I want to make a website on someone who represents the Chamorros on Guam, but if you really think about it you would also want to do someone who appeals to not only the local people of Guam, but also to people in the Mainland. Just so everyone can find the person interesting. But the look of the website is a good way to invite people in and read more.
On the next website that I do. I would include more videos, photos and a lot more information. It would be more informative. Especially if it is about history, again. In my other websites, they are much nicer. So I would find some way to change the look or theme of the website. I would include different widgets such as the calendar, or a count down. The count down would probably would be counting to the day of an important date of the person. Probably the birthday or the date of the special event. I have learned so much with this project and I hope to learn much more.
First of all, my partners were Casey, Jonathan, and me. Yeah!
What we researched on was theme parks in Florida, which were, Epcot of Disneyland, Sea World,and Universal Studios. What we chose for our 4 number family to go to was Epcot of Disneyland. We chose this one because it had a median of the price and was still also fun-looking. I honestly was never really excited to go to any of the theme parks around the world, but now that I’ve seen the previews and possibilities and all the fun things that can happen out there in the theme parks, I can’t wait till I can make enough money to go to one of these theme parks.
My favorite theme park was actually Sea World but still was expensive, so instead we had chosen epcot. It’s is okay though. When I get enough money to go I think my first outside theme park that I would go to would be Sea World. Sea world looks so cool. I want to swim with the whales and other fishes. That has always been my dream to swim with the whale. But then again, the whales can eat me up in just one bite. That’s a chance I am willing to take. Well the Prices of sea world was actually $74.95 for adults and $64.95 for children. Universal Studios’ price was $54.99 for both adult and child.
I would research Rosa Parks. Why you ask? Because not like all other historic figures she was a woman who stood up for herself because of what she believed in.She believed that all people should be treated equally. She was tired of the white people treating her like trash. She had made a difference in all our lives. She was the one who triggered the American Revolution,(the boycott that lasted for 381 days). I chose her, honestly, because she was a WOMAN. Most of all the remembered heroes are men, which is what makes her stand out. She was a woman and still she stood up for herself and her people. I wouldn’t be surprised if we have a lady president in the next decade, we already have a black president. Whoever said it was impossible???

The assembly today was okay. Honestly it had its ups and downs. There were boring parts and some funny ones too. The attorney that came and talked to us showed some clips about cyber-bullying saying, ” If you wouldn’t say it in person, then why say it at all?” That sort of made what they were talking about more interesting. My favorite part of the assembly was when the guy officer called up Lawrence and asked him to tell him and show him what was bullying. Some of the topics brought up were ” What is cyber-bullying?” Another one was, ” What were some ways of being part of bullying or how can you prevent bullying?” The peer mediators came and played a skit. After Mr. McDow, talked to us about the joining and participating in Youth Crime Watch.
Some ways that the speakers could have improved were to not make it so boring. Honestly the speakers should have done something to wake us up. The only speaker that really kept me awake was the officers that came from GPD. The assembly was very long and that didn’t help the fact that it was kind of not exciting. The speakers should have made us do an activity. I think doing an activity would have kept us awake and not thinking it was so boring. I think some of us thought that it was repeating a few things. The Assembly was informative and actually pretty good. This is my blog on the CYBER-BULLYING ASSEMBLY!! DO NOT BULLY!!
I. Family time is first.
A. There were more parties than ever.
1. We all had to help.
2. There were parties for the Quan’s, Santos’s, Crisostomo and Taitingfong’s.
B. No VOLLEYBALL!!
1. I wasn’t able to go to any of the practices except one.
2. I had to give up volleyball for helping to prepare everything.
II. I learned how to save money.
A. There was so many exchanges and we had to be conservative with money.
1. We had to be choosy.
2. We had to be sure that we were going to get that one thing.
B. We saved money.
1. We spent less money than expected.
2. We were happy and proud of ourselves.
One lesson I learned over the Christmas Break was that family time is always first
There were so many parties for all my families. We all had to help prepare for each of them. The parties were for the Quan’s, the Santos’s, the Crisostomo’s, and Taitingfong’s. Part of it was that there was volleyball. I wasn’t able to go any of the practices except one. I had to give up volleyball for rhe parties and just spending time with familia.
The second lesson I learned was how to save money. There were so many exchanges this year. We had to be choosy with what we were going to get. We also had to be sure that the thing we were going to get was right. Because there were no turning back and no such thing a refunds. We also saved money. We were happy about that. We were also proud of ourselves, my mom and I. YAY! We had accomplished our goal. In this whole situation, it proves that money can be gone in a snap.
Ok, first of all you would want to make sure your digital camera is on. Next, you would look through or at your viewfinder to find what you want to take a picture of. Then to make you camera focus you would press the shutter halfway to put it on autofocus, but before that you can use the digital zoom to zoom up on the image subject.
After you take the picture, you would want to make sure that the picture doesn’t have red eye, if you are taking pictures of people or a person. For some other random things of taking pictures, like a taking picture up close, you can you use macro which has the sign of a tulip flower. Oh, and if you wanted to make what your taking a picture of brighter you can use fill flash. A good memory card to use in the digicams is the SD memory card. And some different ways to describe a photo are, how much exposure reaches the image, how much contrast there is in an image. Also another one is the depth of field of a picture. There are other ways, too.
Well for my survey the questions were simple. My first question was If you had a
dog? I chose a simple question to see if any of my classmates were dog lovers.
My second question was what was the person’s nationality. Of course that was a
simple question as well. But for the third question, I kind of take this personally, is if the person likes Guam. I take it sort of personally because I love this island. But of course this is a question of your opinion. I’ve already told you mine.
Well as for the other surveys. I don’t think I have any favorites. I think the surveys were pretty funny. Some like Ritacia’s and Amber’s. Amber’s weird questions like if I had bars on my windows. I think that was to personal but funny.( Amber I used to have, but even though you know that now, don’t come stalking me.) Oh and Ritacia yes I think your survey was great, maybe even better than the others. Maybe. HAHA. I’m not very sure who’s survey it was who asked what I eat or something like that. But it had to do with wires and eating orange(the color) haha. Oh and I like the survey who asked what was the color purple. I answered HOBO WEAPEN. lol. Well I think that’s it for now. Everyone pretty much had a good time on Halloween Day. A lot of kids
broke the rules by wearing the face masks and even wearing the face make up
or face painting. Even one of the teachers wore the colored hair spray. And quoted,
“That rule was only for the students, not the teachers.hehe” Well the people that I interviewed
were my friends.
I interviewed Boboy, one of my super close friends. He said
that he had fun even though he didn’t go to the dance. He had time
to hang out with his Baby. Haha.
Another person that I interview was Aly. She is one of the students of Gate tech also. Well when I asked her about what she did on the activity day she said,” I had to rewrap all the candy grams for our team because the others had messed them up, then we had to go pass them around to the students.” When I also asked her about the dance she said it was kind of stale because the Dj kept talking and stopping the music.
On the other hand, another person thought differently, Ritacia. She quoted, ” I went to the dance and it was fun.” At least someone thought the dance was pretty good. Well below are some pictures of the day of the activity.
